What you’ll do:

Solution Design & Delivery

  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to understand functional and non-functional requirements. 
  • Translate business needs into technical architecture diagrams and component specifications. 
  • Ensure architectural designs align with enterprise standards and security policies. 
  • Support the development teams during implementation, ensuring architectural consistency. 

Integration & Technology Stack

  • Define integration patterns between core banking systems, APIs, and digital channels. 
  • Work on solution blueprints involving RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and microservices. 
  • Collaborate with middleware and data teams to ensure consistent data flow across systems. 
  • Evaluate technology options and propose tools that best fit the department’s needs.

Governance & Compliance

  • Participate in architecture design meetings. 
  • Maintain architectural documentation in line with audit and compliance standards.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work with cross-functional teams (security, infrastructure, DevOps, business analysis). 
  • Communicate architectural solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and architecture best practices within the team. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, system design, or solution architecture (financial industry experience is a plus). 
  • Basic understanding of banking operations (e.g., customer accounts, cards, payments, onboarding). 
  • Familiarity with architecture concepts such as: 
  • Microservices and APIs 
  • Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) 
  • Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) 
  • Security and Identity (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, IAM) 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience with Core Banking Systems  
  • Understanding of event streaming platforms (Kafka, Azure Event Hub). 
  • Knowledge of data flows and ETL pipelines in a banking environment. 
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills. 
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies. 

Soft Skills:

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about new technologies and banking processes. 
  • Ability to balance technical detail with business outcomes.
