The Solution Engineer is responsible for analyzing both technical and business requirements of our clients and delivering end-to-end solutions based on the DBOS banking platform. This includes architecture design, configuration, customization, integration, and implementation.
The role also involves development activities (coding), active participation in testing to ensure high-quality software, and applying continuous integration and delivery best practices.
To deliver the best results, the Solution Engineer stays up-to-date with Finshape Product Development and Consulting, understands the DBOS product roadmap, completes internal Finshape trainings, uses DBOS implementation tools and procedures, and actively promotes the DBOS product.
As Finshape serves clients in multiple countries with flexible delivery models, the candidate should be comfortable working remotely, from a Finshape office, or on-site—in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, or abroad. They may work as part of Finshape delivery teams or on a time-and-material basis within client teams.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand requirements, KPIs, and project timelines.
- Lead the implementation of solutions on the DBOS platform, leveraging configuration and custom coding as needed.
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations.
- Set up and maintain development and testing environments to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and validation to maintain high-quality standards.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Participate in root cause analysis and propose long-term solutions.
- Facilitate effective team and client communication, ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
Who We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience in software solution delivery, preferably for financial institutions, in fast-paced, agile environments.
- Proven track record developing large-scale, business-critical, 24/7 software solutions in the Czech Republic or internationally.
- Strong experience in Java development, including Spring technologies (Spring Boot, Spring Framework).
- Experience with integration technologies (EIP, Message Oriented Middleware, Data Streams/Kafka).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, cloud platforms, and configuration management (GIT/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Terraform, Azure).
- Knowledge of security standards such as OpenID Connect and OAuth; experience with financial regulations (PSD2, SCA/RTS) is a plus.
- DevOps mindset, with willingness to work with monitoring and log management tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
